DAY # 1 IN LONDON
by Yannis El Houari, Iléana Cardona and Gary Becdelièvre
We arrived in London at 8 am after a long exhausting travel. We had breakfast at McDonalds, we ate eggs, bacon and potatoes, and drank an orange juice. We saw the London Eye, and we went to see Big Ben. Big Ben is the biggest clock tower and one of the most famous monuments in London. Léo, Iliasse and Momo made their reports.
Next, we went to see Westminster Abbey. It is the place for the burial of the kings and queens on England and famous people too. We listened to Guillaume, Aymeric and Charlotte’s reports.
Then, we stopped in front of the Houses of Parliament, the parliament of the United Kingdom. We listened to Victor, Syndie and Cédric‘s reports.
Later, we attended the changing of the guards in front of Buckingham Palace. The changing of the guards takes place every day at 11:30am. We had our picnic in a shopping mall at Victoria station because it was very cold outside.
In the afternoon, we made a street quest in Carnaby Street. We had to find some details in the streets, ask some questions to the people in the streets and answer the questionnaire. Aymeric , Léo and Lucas were the winners. It was fun! They won big and delicious cookies from Ben’s.
Next, we saw Trafalgar Square. It is a famous place of London in the Westminster Avenue. Baptiste, Paul and Iléana made their reports.
Later, we took the bus and we went to meet our host families. A few pupils were stressed, but eventually, everybody had a good time !
